Well, it had to end sometime...
 
2nd debate: against Bayley - Zhi Wei and Siak Yong's (GSY) team
Motion: THW W...W (arrrrgh! forgot it!)
 
3rd debate: against supposedly, Moor 2, who pulled out at the last moment
Now, the rules state that pulling out means instant loss. I does not mean a walkover!
 
So, we had to face the swing team, which basically consists of the members of the debaters club. That means, team RI.
That means, Suhas and Jun Yi
That means, school debaters
!
 
Motion: THBT euthanasia should be legalised, we as opposition
I was 1st opp, as usual, with the Indian hairball (Suhas) going as 1st prop. He spoke rubbish("We confine this debate to first world liberal democracies, because it is only in those places that people have heard of something known as a doctor")
We replied the usual way we did, and won, by a narrow margin of -1.5
 
Semi finals: Against Moor 1 (RRRRRRRRamana)
Motion: TH thanks God for America
We lost this one... Ramana went up and dazzled everyone with his brilliance, and the adjudicators were unanimous in declaring the prop the winner
 
3rd and 4th place debates will be next Friday, against Bayley (again)
Motion: TH forsees the rise of female superheroes (really!)
 
It's been an incredibly exciting week... (really!)
