Who?

Where?

Went for the Track and Field finals at the National Stadium yesterday, along with the rest of the board. We got there at around 3.30, about halfway through the whole thing. It is not a good omen when the first thing you hear upon entrance is the screams of thousands of insane girls. It proved so.

I was the guy waving the Raffles flag around, in perfect timing with the other two guys (it was a Buckley flag, by the way), and yelling myself hoarse. I was also the guy shouting at Sheng Hao, trying to get him to move, albeit unsuccessfully (in the words of David Lu, "Your balls nearly fell off"). Met some old friends there, Salima and Wen Yi.

The results were disappointing, to say the least. SO what if we didn't win more than a handful of titles, it's still no reason to act the way we did there. Compared to the other schools (and confirmed by my friends there), we might as well not have existed there. Our cheering was but a whisper, our 'support' of out friends out there but a piece of string. Come on, SO what if we only had a few classes down there, even Temasek JC and the Sports School could put up a FAR better show than we did. Throughout the meet, we were only concerned about stupid, petty stuff like rain, going home, food and toilet. For God's sake, can you for once, ONCE in your life care about something more than yourselves! So WHAT if you go home a bit later, it's not as if you'll die. Did you see anyone from Cedar arguing with the prefect to let her go home? Anyone from TCHS? RGS?

(I must be hungry, going on like that)
