I don't know what I was saying in that previous entry...
I am NOT satisfied with what I did! No way! Third place out of five was not what I was aiming for! This is not the first time this has happened... since P6, many, many, 'might have beens', 'nearly made its', 'almost theres'. P6: NJRC We were so close to victory, right up there on the top spot of the leaderboard, with the next team 50 points away. Then we did the second, and last run. Our robot went 0.5 cm too far at the 1:24 mark, getting stuck at the derrick. I can still remember that exact box in the program, the one that said 1.25 instead of 1.0. It got stuck, we got 40/200, and we lost the entire competition. As if to mock us for our sudden fall, just as victory was snatched from our grasp, we won the best mechanical design prize. Some consolation indeed. I remember I cried that night, the first in three years, and the last up to now S2: Inter-house science quiz, inter-house debates I joined Hullett's team in both cases, trying to win some small measure of glory for the House. Again, the gods did not see fit to reward us, and gave us second and third placings respectively (can't really complain for debates, it was my first ever try) Now: History Drama Nanyang did deserve first place, that is certain. But for VS, I'm not sure. I suppose they got second because theirs was different from all the rest, not a hint of humour at all, but otherwise, it was really dragging it out. REALLY. And the prosecution's points were totally irrelevant. But anyway What has Passed has Passed So Be It Maybe it's just because I'm a perfectionist Somebody said that at 11:26 PM - x - - x -
