Take a good look at 24 out of 1000000 of the victims of the Khmer Rouge

All ages
All races
All genders

Killed systematically and mercilessly by an autocratic government bent on creating a classless society by force, they rest for eternity in unmarked mass graves, surrounded by the detritus of war and evil. The man who did this, Pol Pot, is dead, but these people remain forgotten, doomed to have died in vain. Forget Iraq and Afghanistan, forget the US, but turn your eye to the countless other massacres and genocides in history.

Kosovo
Kampuchea
Darfur
Congo Civil War
Stalin's purges

How many people care about these? How many have even heard of these? Have these people died for nothing but the furthering of a despot's ego. Surely we can do better. We must do better
