Now is time for some reflection, or what my father calls, performance assessment...
What have I done this year? Simple answer, not a lot. Academics are fine, except for my Chinese, which is perpetually doomed to remain at that level. But who cares about academia anyway? The teachers are happy with my performance, none hates me as much as TBT did in P5. Overall, pretty much the same as last year. So no progress there... As long as I keep it there, go slightly higher on Chinese (gragh), I'll be fine. Extra-curricular stuff: Prefectorial Board. Not much, most of the time they need people down for things and I'm not available due to CCA or RE or other assorted stuff. Gragh, have to change this in sec 3 Band. I still play the trombone as badly as I did last year (which is saying something)... Attendance is just about meeting expectations. Next year is SYF year, though, have to really buck up if we want to do well. That applies to the rest of the band too, not just me. RE/IRS: One thing I'm happy about this year. Our project was a good one, we (or at least chee and I) put in all we had for it. We didn't get anything, but, hey, who cares? We learnt something from it, we met nice people, we had fun, who needs anything else? The only lacking thing was our oral presentation and posters, but we'll do better next year. It would have been nice if we had won something, but we're saving that for next year... SMP 2005. I can't wait... History Drama: My first time acting. Can't say we did well on this. (If it wasn't for koay and nelson I doubt we would have gone far) 3rd place, not good at all... We, that is, RI, must do better next year, and topple NYGH from that top spot. Hopefully they've grown complacent over the years =P (no offense to any NYGH people intended =D) Social Life: BAD! I realise that I'm just like the typical sterotypical RI muggertoad. I scarcely know more people than I did last year... I need to have more contact with real people... Otherwise I turn into alan (no offense intended here). I must have more influence and sources from other schools, and not just girls' ones. Next year will be a challenge though, with 3 more subjects and advanced modules... I have people from all sides of the fences telling me to concentrate on certain aspects, but I have decided on the following priority: 1. Schoolwork 2. Band 3. Prefectorial Board 4. Everything Else (or most of it) I wonder if she will talk to me again... if not, then never mind. Thank you, for being there when I needed you, and for teaching me what was needed. Somebody said that at 7:25 PM - x - - x -
