Now school has finally started... finally after all that waiting
Same crap, different day... Go to school, get fed up by the sec 1 parents, have badge fall off and land in inconvenient spot. HM's assembly, a thoroughly unconvincing maiden address. 25% more people fell asleep this morning than usual (including me). Go into class, find out about Yak and Fong (no-namer). Highlight of the day: OBS and orientation. Utter failure, not entirely unexpected, considering the location, the time of day, the people involved. Tried to go to RJC for lunch, was so turned off by the dirty looks that I decided not to go anyway. It's hard to get people you know or people who know each other all fired up, it really is. Part of the OBS committee's job. When they're people you've known for two or more years, they conspire against you, pull your plans down, they do. So much easier for the sec 4 PSLs you know? A horde of small, frightened sec 1s, easy targets. Smash them with a fist of for the first few days to 'format' them and make them forget the past, then a few days of brotherliness and being nice to them. Installing your own software becomes easy. Doesn't even have to be sec 1s. Anybody, as long as they're a. isolated/alone b. frightened/wary. Hit them hard with the stick first to wake them up, then it's the carrot to lure and convert. Or you could have the carrot in your hand from the beginning, but always the stick behind your back, so that a bit sticks out. Foolproof method of inducting recruits, perfected from centuries of practice. Somebody said that at 9:58 PM - x - - x -
