Well, it had to happen...
Skipped school today with the rest of RISC quiz team to go to Ngee Ann poly for a grand competition involving boat-racing and electrical connection-making. Boat-making was dismal, 1 minute to move 4 metres, though we were part of the 15 or so out of 60 teams who actually finished the course... bad luck i suppose, that our boat veered left and got stuck against the wall. Connections was far more fruitful, we got 3rd place (losing to, unfortunately, St Gabriels' and Assumption English). Only one team finished the eighth and last question (you know those two-way switches? try three), and it wasn't us unfortunately. Surprising what you can do with just batteries, switches, bulbs and buzzers. For our efforts we were awarded with a *gasp* mouse. Somebody said that at 8:26 PM - x - - x -
