What is sin? Can there be sin if there is God?
Assumption 1: sin exists Assumption 2: sin is evil Assumption 3: God exists Assumption 4: God is good Assumption 5: God is all-powerful If God is good and all-powerful, then he should eliminate sin, which is evil. However, he does not. Why? Any of the 5 assumptions is now questionable. 1. Sin does not exist 2. Sin is not evil 3. God does not exist 4. God is not all-good 5. God has limitations I am strongly in favour of the third possibility, or the fourth. Either eliminate the idea of an omnipotent being and nullify the entire problem, or assume that God is not good and accomplish the same. Some say that god intended sin to teach humanity, which is utterly ridiculous. Has humanity learned at all? Why do we keep repeating the mistakes of the past then? If we are so incapable of learning, is it not evil to subject us to sin, knowing that we will endure it and its consequences for as long as we exist. Somebody said that at 8:53 PM - x - - x -
